Stage 3 The Poster. We were so happy when we opened our mail today 24-8-09, to see the finished poster.
To me it is more than a work of art. It is what a work of art should be, the culmination of 2 years of ideas and discussions that began with our documentary 'Queen Yaa Asantewaa and the Golden Stool' It was during the research phase that I got to know the story of Anokye, but I had to wait 2 years for the Golden Stool to be shown in public and find out more about the man they call the ‘prophet of Africa’ but even then this story was only going to be a documentary. Then I saw the work of Nando Nkrumah. Although it took another year and the involvement of Lily Ross our producer for the vision to become clear. She read the story, looked at Nando's work and knew straight away that this story was for a mass international audience of all ages. With everyone's help this dream is becoming a reality. Thank you & keep supporting us. Akua click the image to see it in large format.
Stage 2 Artwork Here are the first 2 drafts of the production poster, we are so excited by Nando’s work, we just can’t wait to see the finished thing which we will have in a week or so.

The 1st colour and composition test was very exciting to see, then we got the more detailed pencil drawing which you can see has more emotion and intensity. The next picture will be the full poster.
