A Serendipitous Production

Akua Ofosuhene is a 39 year old filmmaker from London. She began her working life at the age of 15 in Fashion and trading at music festivals. In the UK and Europe. Between 2004 and 2008 she made 12 short films, including 3 community films for Camden and Brent councils and is now working on a slate of documentaries.

In 2007 Akua started A Serendipitous Production. In the spring of 2008 ‘Keep Her’ Akua’s 10minute drama won the Images of Black women 2^nd best new comer award. In June 2008 A Serendipitous Production won an award from Film London for ‘Closing the Gap’, an educational project that takes positive films about Africa into UK schools. A Serendipitous Production has just been joined by Jacob Webb    , who will be responsible for managing productions. Jacob Webb     was director on ‘The MySpace Invasion’ and camera on ‘Keep Her’ and is in post production for his feature documentary, 'Joseph's Return'.

Jacob Webb     is a 24 year old filmmaker from Derby. He comes from a theatre production background. He has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and toured the UK. Jacob has made 5 short films and worked on the following broadcast programmes; Trinny & Susannah Undress the Nation Series 2, Britain’s Got Talent 2, T4 on the Beech 2007 and music videos for; Little Man Tate (This Must Be Love), Miss Conduct (Live Gig), Aqualung (Live Gig), Newton Faulkner (I Need Something)

Louise Lynas     is a Company Director at Firstborn Creatives. She is currently working with A Serendipitous Production  as Executive Producer to produce feature length works for broadcast and theatrical release. Louise has her finger in other media pies: “The Spark", a region-wide magazine based in Bristol and has teaching experience as a visiting lecturer working in America.
